Before you color your hair, do a patch test. This helps determine if the color you are using contains any allergens, or if it will inflame your skin. Also, perform a strand test. This will show you the true color that your hair will become once its done, and whether the color will damage your hair. Never apply permanent hair color the same day you relax your hair! Wait at least 2-3 weeks then, do the patch and strand tests.
